MyGuichet eDelivery: How to Activate It in Luxembourg
MyGuichet eDelivery lets you receive eligible Luxembourg administrative documents electronically in your secure private or business eSpace. Instead of relying only on the post, you can open official correspondence inside MyGuichet and receive an email notification when a document arrives.
Creating a MyGuichet account does not automatically activate every eDelivery service. In a private eSpace, you must enable the relevant administration's subscription and, where required, select individual document types. Business eDelivery follows a different rule: it depends on certification for the relevant sector of activity.
There is also no single rule for paper copies. Electronic delivery may supplement or replace postal delivery, depending on the issuing body. These distinctions are set out in Guichet.lu's official eDelivery guidance.
Private or business eSpace: which activation rule applies?
Start by identifying the eSpace that should receive your document.
| eSpace | What you need to do | What remains outside its scope |
|---|---|---|
| Private | Create your private eSpace, then activate eDelivery for each relevant administration and, where applicable, each document type. | Other administrations and document types are not automatically included. |
| Business | Have the business eSpace certified for the relevant sector. Its associated documents are then delivered electronically without a separate eDelivery activation. | Certification does not cover every sector, every company document or every business eSpace. |
Use the instructions for the relevant eSpace rather than applying private subscriptions to a business account, or assuming that business certification covers personal correspondence.
How to activate eDelivery in a private eSpace
You first need to register on MyGuichet.lu using an accepted authentication device and create your private eSpace. All eDelivery services require strong authentication.
Once your private eSpace is available:
- Sign in and select your private eSpace. Check the selected eSpace before changing any settings.
- Find the relevant administration or service. In the browser version, open Services or Services catalogue and search by body, theme or keyword. Guichet.lu's guide to consulting your personal data explains how to find services that offer eDelivery activation.
- Activate the subscription you need. Follow that service's instructions and select any separately listed document types. Repeat for each administration whose eligible documents you want to receive electronically.
- Check your notification settings. Make sure the email address saved in your eSpace is current. For an additional alert channel, enable push notifications in the linked MyGuichet mobile app.
For a concrete example, the CNS guide to its insured eSpace gives this browser route: Services → Search by body → Caisse nationale de santé → Health insurance fund → Activation of services. Find the eDelivery option and select Activated. This is a CNS-specific route, not a universal menu path for every administration.
If you cannot find another subscription, search by the issuing body or consult its official instructions. Do not assume that activating a related service also covers the document you need.
How eDelivery works in a business eSpace
For business users, the relevant question is whether the eSpace has the required certification—not whether a private-style subscription is switched on. Once a business eSpace is certified for a sector, its associated documents are forwarded there electronically without a separate eDelivery activation.
The government's business certification guide explains that certification is granted per service and per business eSpace. It may involve an access code or an online application, depending on the service.
That guide is marked as being updated. Use the issuing administration's service-specific instructions for the certification procedure, and check that you are using the eSpace covered by that certification.
Which documents can you receive electronically?
Examples include:
- Tax documents: tax cards and tax assessments from the Luxembourg Inland Revenue (ACD).
- Health insurance documents: reimbursement statements from the National Health Fund (CNS).
- Family-benefit documents: eligible correspondence from the Children's Future Fund (CAE), including payment certificates and entitlement letters.
- Local-authority documents: invoices from participating communes.
These are examples, not a complete list or a guarantee that every document from each body is available. Check the official eDelivery service list and the subscriptions available in your own eSpace. The CAE also lists its available electronic documents, while Guichet.lu's overview of eDelivery services confirms examples such as tax assessments and commune bills.
Does eDelivery replace paper letters?
Sometimes. The rule depends on the issuing body and document.
For example, the CNS states that activating its eDelivery service replaces postal delivery for the documents covered by that service. It also says you can deactivate the service to change that choice.
Do not apply the CNS rule to every administration. Before relying exclusively on electronic delivery for an important document, confirm whether its issuing body sends a paper copy as well.
How to read eDelivery documents safely
When a new message arrives, MyGuichet sends a notification to the email address recorded in your eSpace. The official eDelivery notification address is [email protected]. A linked mobile app can also alert you if push notifications are enabled.
The email is an alert, not the place to retrieve the document. Guichet.lu states that eDelivery notifications contain no direct link to the message holding the document. Open MyGuichet independently through a trusted bookmark or the official app, sign in and select the relevant eSpace.
Guichet.lu's message-viewing guide identifies My messages as the inbox for correspondence, including eDelivery documents. Open the relevant message there and view its document; download it when that option is available.
A familiar sender address alone does not prove that an email is genuine. If a supposed document alert asks you to enter credentials through an email link or open an unexpected attachment, check MyGuichet independently instead.
The no-direct-link rule above concerns eDelivery document notifications, not every email involved in using MyGuichet. The official registration procedure, for example, includes a separate confirmation email with a registration link.
A five-point check before you rely on eDelivery
Use this check after setup, when your contact details change or when the organization of a business eSpace changes.
| Check | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Correct eSpace | You know which private or business eSpace should receive the document. |
| Active coverage | The relevant private subscription is enabled, or the business eSpace has the required certification. |
| Working alerts | The saved email address is current; app notifications are enabled if you rely on them. |
| Paper-delivery rule | You know whether this document will also arrive by post. |
| Independent access | You can open MyGuichet and locate your messages without following an email link. |
What to do if an expected document is missing
First, sign in to MyGuichet directly. Establish whether the document is missing or only its notification is missing before changing your settings.
The document is present, but no email arrived. Check the notification address saved in that eSpace, then your spam folder and email filters. Check the app's push settings separately if you expected a mobile alert.
The document is absent. Confirm the eSpace, then the relevant subscription or business certification. Check that the issuing body offers that particular document through eDelivery; a different document from the same authority is not proof of coverage.
Everything appears correctly configured. Ask the issuing administration whether the document has been issued and where it was sent. Activating eDelivery changes the delivery channel for eligible documents; it does not guarantee that an authority will issue a document or do so by a particular date.
The problem is access or activation. Use the help options linked from the official MyGuichet guidance. For questions about the document or the underlying application, contact the responsible administration instead. The Guichet.lu registration and support guidance makes clear that its Helpdesk cannot access files submitted to other administrations.
The useful question is not simply whether eDelivery is “on.” It is whether the document you need is covered, will reach the correct eSpace, and can be opened safely when it arrives.
