MyGuichet Digital Power of Attorney: What Access You Grant

MyGuichet is Luxembourg's online administrative-service platform; a private eSpace is a person's workspace. A digital power of attorney lets a principal delegate eligible procedures to an agent, using the agent's own credentials. For the ordinary route, both must be adults with a 13-digit Luxembourg national identification number, a private eSpace and their own LuxTrust product, Luxembourg electronic identity card or supported eIDAS login.

The mandate is generic: it cannot currently be limited to one form, department or action. Read the official scope before granting access.

What the agent can access

Area Permission or limit
Procedures Manage eligible procedures; view, download or delete related documents/messages
Profile View or amend information; identification details are read-only
My Documents View, download, add or delete documents
Family information See family data in the National Register of Natural Persons (RNPP)
eDelivery For activated services, view, download or delete delivered documents in My messages; cannot activate/deactivate eDelivery

The principal remains responsible. Several agents' actions can conflict. Check eligible services in the authenticated eSpace catalogue.

The proof covers the mandate's MyGuichet procedures; it is not a general power of attorney for a bank or physical administration. For the separate delivery-channel task, see how to activate MyGuichet eDelivery.

Make the access decision explicit

Before sending a request, write down four things together: the task, the intended end date, the changes the agent may need to make and who will review the result. Use that note as a shared checkpoint for acceptance and any later decision to cancel.

Create, accept and track the clock

The principal starts online or at the Guichet.lu reception desk; the agent may start with the principal's consent. Have the other person's eSpace identifier ready. The mandate takes effect only after the recipient accepts it in their private eSpace. The official visual tutorial shows the current interface.

Set a validity period of one to 12 months. Expiry runs from creation, not acceptance, so delay shortens the usable period. No expiry reminder is sent. Only the principal can change the duration; either party can cancel. Continuing after expiry requires a new mandate. The power-of-attorney journal shows its status and dates.

The principal and agent pages were marked as being updated on 14 October 2026; recheck their current wording before relying on the procedure.

Guardianship follows a different route

Do not apply the ordinary steps automatically to guardianship or curatorship. A guardian appointed by a Luxembourg court follows a separate in-person guardian-agent procedure, and Guichet.lu sets other restrictions for foreign guardianship and curatorship situations. This is a platform boundary, not personal legal advice.
